Email Series: Soupline Promo

Soupline was a large fundraising event for a local nonprofit, which had been running for over 20 years. Though the event was successful, its core base of attendees was starting to age out, and the existing event promotion wasn’t attracting any newcomers.

We mixed up the branding of the event, taking it from a more traditional nonprofit fundraiser to a community-centric event, filled with food, music, and fun. With an aggressive digital marketing campaign, supplemented with thoughtfully placed local radio ads, the event was on track to sell out before early bird ticket sales were even wrapped up.

Unfortunately, COVID came into play just weeks after we started promoting the event, and Soupline 2020 was cancelled. However, we capitalized on the momentum we’d achieved thus far, and shared a Soupline: Home Edition with our entire email list. The event (or lack thereof) ended up raising a significant amount toward our original goal.

Below, check out highlights from the email promotions leading up to the event, plus the final Soupline: Home Edition email.
